Course Overview

This two-day hands-on course provides practical training in managing complicated dental extractions and bone preservation techniques. Participants will learn efficient operatory setup, surgical PPE, retraction, and assisting methods.

Clinical demonstrations cover sectioning, suturing, bone grafting, socket evaluation for implants, and removal of impacted wisdom teeth. The program includes supervised extractions with Dr. Sajid Syed, offering real-world surgical experience in a controlled environment.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Diagnose and treatment plan complicated extractions using a prosthetically driven approach.

With extensive experience in surgical dentistry, Dr. Sajid Syed and Courtney Burtoo bring practical, real-world expertise, sharing proven techniques to enhance surgical outcomes, patient care, and clinical efficiency.

Dr. Syed, a Fellow of the American Board of Oral Implantology, specializes in implant dentistry, digital workflows, and full-mouth reconstruction. He mentors clinicians across North America through Fusion Implant Dentistry.

Ms. Burtoo, a Level II Dental Assistant, brings extensive surgical experience and trains teams in efficient, predictable implant workflows. Together, they teach a controlled, prosthetically driven surgical approach that ensures complex extractions are performed with precision and future implant therapy in mind.
